Solid tools for advanced workflows

We design, audit and port software when off-the-shelf tools do not fit the job: business workflows, measurement systems, web applications, production tools and multiplatform components. We build on reusable foundations and integrate testing, measurement and diagnostics from the start. The people who define the architecture stay involved during production rollout and when problems occur.

Services

From diagnosis to production rollout

We work on existing systems and new products. An engagement may be a focused audit, a prototype, development alongside your team, or a port to a new platform. Each one is led directly by the founding team.

Consulting and optimization

We examine the architecture, workflows and performance of an existing system. The audit delivers measurements, a reasoned diagnosis and an action plan. A focused audit can be completed in five working days.

Custom development

We build business software, web applications and internal tools around your data and integration constraints. A first focused prototype can be delivered in under a month.

Co-development

We work inside your development environment with your team: architecture, implementation, code review, optimization and delivery preparation.

Porting

We adapt an application to a new platform or environment while preserving its business logic. Target-specific differences in behavior, performance and deployment are identified, measured and tested.

Mirage Academix

Three studios for publishing, organizing resources and building curricula

Mirage Academix links three focused studios: LazyWeb for structured websites, Resources for reusable materials, and Maquette for programmes, courses and timetables. Resources and curricula can feed published sites directly, without entering the same information twice.

L

LazyWeb

Build and publish structured websites.

R

Resources

Organize, enrich and reuse resources.

M

Maquette

Design and validate programmes, courses and timetables.

Workflow tools, performance measurement and a game engine

These prototypes are where we build and verify our own components: communication workflows with Chat Them All, software performance with Performance Checker, and modular engine architecture with Étendue. The same components and methods can then be adapted to custom software.

Chat Them All

Chat Them All connects multiple messaging platforms through a shared model for messages and actions. Bots and agents can cooperate within a workflow without depending on a particular channel, while each exchange keeps its context and trace.

Multiple messaging platforms Bots and agent groups Unified messages and actions Traceable interactions
Game engine

Étendue

Étendue is a modular game engine. Runtime, rendering, physics, assets and development tools are split into testable, replaceable components. Two reference games are used to test their integration. Performance Checker tracks critical paths, and the development tools are available from VS Code.

Performance Checker

Performance Checker adds performance checks to development workflows and CI/CD pipelines. It compares versions and environments, measures execution time, memory and allocations, then produces reports and profiles that locate regressions.

Team

Two technical leads, directly involved

Jean-François Baffier covers algorithms, architecture and performance. Frédéric Francès brings fifteen years of systems design and multiplatform game production. Together, they frame the technical decisions and stay involved through delivery.

Jean‑François Baffier

Co-founder and President

Jean-François Baffier holds a PhD in computer science and specializes in combinatorial optimization, graph algorithms and scientific computing. He designs the architecture and measurement methods used in Mirage Interactive's tools.

Frédéric Francès

Co-founder and Managing Director

Frédéric Francès has fifteen years of experience in multiplatform game development. He works across game systems, gameplay, animation, AI and rendering, as well as production planning, multidisciplinary coordination and delivery trade-offs.
